Baseline Holdings subsidiary companies showing tremendous success

Johannesburg, 13 Oct 2006

Baseline Distribution and Logistics (BDL) has increased its portfolio of products to include cost effective PABX solutions and operator headsets. On the back of the acquisition of the exclusive distribution rights for Southern Africa of the Konftel business voice conferencing solutions; BDL has added small to medium capacity PABXs and operator headsets to the fold.

"The ability to be the masters of our own destiny, with regards to product and pricing is remarkable," says Holdings MD Kevin Treweek. "The cost benefits of working within such a business model allow us to pass these savings onto our customers. They make Baseline NGN (ICT sales company) highly competitive in what is an extremely cut throat marketplace," adds Treweek.

Treweek continues: "Other good news for us at Holdings, is for our financial year ending 30 September 2006, Baseline NGN has become the leading sales and service supplier of Avaya IP Office (next generation IP PBXs) in the Cape Province.

"It`s taken us approximately two years of hard work to reach this position. We`ve had to face and overcome the failures of previous vendors in the Cape`s medium enterprise market. To dispel the false understanding that our customers had, that IP telephony does not work and is ineffective as a business tool, was a challenge, that wasn`t easily overcome," explains Treweek.

"Looking to the future for the Holdings operating companies, we are going to expand on our customer successes, increase our distribution model and offerings, while maintaining and enhancing upon our service delivery mechanisms," concludes Treweek.
