Oracle's partner base widens

In an attempt to help resellers partner easily with Oracle, the company has launched a new initiative, the Authorised Value Added Distributor Remarketer Programme, says Channel Times.

Oracle has taken this initiative in alliance with Tech Pacific (formerly Ingram Micro).

According to the company, the programme will enable Tech Pacific to resell Oracle products throughout India with the help of its resellers. Moreover, it will make it easy for resellers to start selling Oracle products without investing heavily to build an Oracle practice.

Acronis initiates channel programme

Software vendor Acronis is to unveil its first channel programme in 2009, reports ARN.

Partners will be classified as Certified Partners and Enterprise Solution Partners.

The partner programme will consist of a full training certification programme, access to special bundled products and additional marketing funds. It aims to arm partners with knowledge and expertise in Acronis products and developing backup, disaster recovery and deployment skills.

Motorola adopts new training benchmark

The Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP) programme has been adopted by the Enterprise Mobility business unit of Motorola as benchmark training for its technical architects and worldwide channel partners, states TMCnet.

CWNP creates vendor-neutral enterprise certification programmes, offering four levels of certification for enterprise WiFi, enhancing knowledge levels for the entire workforce.

Atlanta-based Peachtree Wireless is a CWNP training partner and will be the exclusive worldwide provider of training programmes for Motorola.
