Obscure announces distribution agreement with Okta

Pretoria, 23 Oct 2018

Obscure Technologies and Okta (NASDAQ:OKTA), the leading independent provider of identity for the enterprise, today announced a distribution agreement to provide enterprise-grade identity management service, built for the cloud, but compatible with many on-premises applications.

The Okta Identity Cloud enables organisations to both secure and manage their extended enterprise, and transform their customers' experiences.

With over 5 500 pre-built integrations to applications and infrastructure providers, including Microsoft Office 365, Box, Salesforce and ServiceNow, Okta customers can easily and securely adopt the technologies they need to fulfil their missions. Over 5 150 organisations, including 20th Century Fox, JetBlue, Nordstrom, Slack, Teach for America and Twilio, trust Okta to securely connect their people and technology.

"We are thrilled to add Okta to our security portfolio. Okta's security solutions are the best-in-class identity solution our customers need as they manage identity in today's modern workforce," said Justin Lee, Managing Director, Obscure. "At Obscure, our culture revolves around a commitment to innovation and value adding within the channel, and that certainly extends to our investment in key technologies that enable the end-user to innovate and to drive business efficiencies wherever possible, because the realities of modern business require that enterprises do more with less, and do it faster, and Okta enables just that."

"Partners are a core part of Okta's business, allowing us to reach more customers and enabling those customers to use Okta Identity Cloud for seamless and secure user experiences for their organisations," said Justin Doo, Territory Manager Middle East & Africa, Okta. "Okta's vision is to enable any company to use any technology, and Obscure Technologies perfectly aligns with our mission. I'm excited to be working with the Obscure team to bring more identity-driven security to businesses in this territory."

To increase efficiency and productivity, enterprises are adopting more cloud applications, building and deploying their own cloud solutions, all while maintaining significant on-premises infrastructure. The most effective way to maintain security and compliance in this increasingly complex and largely heterogeneous environment is to monitor and protect an individual's identity.

And with the Okta Identity Cloud, enterprises can easily enable end-user access to cloud services and applications by providing single sign-on and multi-factor authentication, automated provisioning and de-provisioning, effectively reducing the enterprise cost of identity administration.
