Fujikura discontinued the famous CT-30A cleaver after two decades, as well as the CT-06 cleaver. Out with the old and in with the new CT50 Bluetooth enabled cleaver and CT08 single fibre cleaver.

The CT50 is the new flagship cleaver from Fujikura Japan and features Bluetooth connectivity to the splicer unit, automated blade rotation based on the number of splices done and easy user maintenance.

The cleaver cleaves in three actions. Open the hammer, place the fibre and cleave. The cleaver self-cocks the blade and it is no longer necessary for the user to do this step. This makes splicing so much faster; the cleaver is extremely accurate and robust.

The second newcomer is the CT08 cleaver. This is Fujikura's budget cleaver and is a single fibre cleaver. The CT08 also features a self-cocking blade mechanism and three-action cleaving. It is very robust and almost unbreakable.
