UK-based Silwood Technology has signed a partnership agreement with Milestone Technologies (MileTech), making the South African-based IT solutions provider one of its key partners in the African region.
Under the partnership, Silwood is contributing its self-service metadata discovery software Safyr, and pertinent technical skills to complement MileTech's local presence and expertise in information and data management transformation projects, say the companies.
This is especially useful in complex data landscapes which underpin application packages from SAP, Salesforce, Oracle and Microsoft, they add.
As using and exploiting data becomes more critical for organisations, it is important that information and data management projects can encompass all sources of data, regardless of type and the difficulty of access, says Roland Bullivant, sales and marketing director for Silwood Technology.
The combination of MileTech's expertise and use of data discovery tools makes this more achievable for large organisations with significant investment in customer relationship management and enterprise resource planning packaged systems, he adds.
"Silwood has several other partners in the region. Some of these are local representation of global software companies. The addition of MileTech offers a great deal of additional local knowledge and presence."
