Annex Distribution ships in latest in monitor technology

Johannesburg, 29 Oct 2008

Annex Distribution, a supplier of business-building ICT infrastructure and components, has confirmed the availability of a range of quality widescreen viewing solutions from its technology vendor partner and manufacturer ViewSonic Corporation.

The company has in stock the ViewSonic's 19-inch VA1913wm 16:9 widescreen, the ViewSonic 17-inch VA1716 widescreen LCD as well as the ViewSonic 22-inch VX2240 ultimate widescreen gaming LCD.

“We are very pleased to announce the arrival of the first batch of high definition, quality viewing solutions that form part of this new range that will meet the demands of a broad consumer base,” says Bill Gradwell, director at Annex Distribution. “The ViewSonic range is characterised by attention to resolution, a remarkably high contrast ratio, versatility and quality images that all add value to the end-user's digital experience.”

The ViewSonic 17-inch VA1716 widescreen LCD is designed to illuminate high-volume, graphic intensive environments, such as gaming for example. A combination of 1440x900 resolution; fast ClearMotiv II eight millisecond video response and 2 000:1 dynamic contrast ratio make the solution an ideal addition to any credible digital infrastructure setup.

The ViewSonic's 19-inch VA1913wm 16:9 widescreen features an ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio of 10 000:1 and is designed to enhance gaming, video viewing and Internet activity. The solution also comes with integrated stereo speakers for added convenience.

Another significant value-added feature is the power-conservation mode or Ecomode - this ensures that the solution automatically conserves power when not in use.

The ViewSonic 22-inch VX2240w ultimate widescreen gaming LCD reflects the growing popularity of converged graphic-intensive lifestyle solutions and home networking/information technology to establish multimedia communication environments.

Its key features include a two millisecond video response time and large 16:10 native aspect ratio. Advanced Amplified Impulse technology and 1680x1050 pixel resolution also provide broadcast-quality HD.

OptiSync analogue and digital inputs with HDCP offers superior video signal quality and allows the user to dock multiple components and HD sources.

The OSD lock function safeguards the user against accidental changes to optimal screen settings. A built-in Kensington security port provides an additional deterrent against theft.

“As an established supplier and distributor of next generation digital lifestyle and communication infrastructure, we are very excited to bring to the market a new range of quality visual solutions. We are in the process of engaging with our extensive base of resellers to communicate the features and value of this product through to the channel,” adds Gradwell.
