Kaplan IT Learning, a leading provider of certification preparation, assessment, learning services and software to help individuals and organisations train on technology and prepare for technology certifications, announces the release of several new features, including Windows Vista support and enhanced Web content compression to its award-winning, simulation-based training and documentation authoring tool, STT Trainer.
STT Trainer enables authors to create end-user training for enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle and PeopleSoft, in addition to customised applications.
Chief learning officers, IT project managers, training managers and human resource managers use STT Trainer to reduce the time and cost required to train and support end-users on applications ranging from specialised ERP and CRM systems to more generally used Windows, Web and Java-based applications.
STT Trainer's newest innovative features include:
* Windows Vista Support
STT Trainer can now be installed on the Vista platform, create training for Vista applications, and publish documentation in Word 2007.
* Enhanced Web Content Compression
Ideal for global deployments and low-bandwidth environments, learners benefit from embedded Flash technology. STT Web Player now compresses and decompresses training content from the file server to the browser, delivering content up to 40% faster in low-bandwidth.
* Multiple Browser/ Platform Support
Users without Internet Explorer can now access training content through a dynamically generated HTML view. This means that learners using non-Internet Explorer browsers will be automatically redirected to browser-independent STT training content environments.
* Extended Lesson Progress Reporting
New reporting capabilities allow better tracking of lesson completion and pass rates so that lessons proving difficult to learners can quickly be identified and amended.
* Augmented Project Status Reporting
A new project status report provides project administrators a snapshot view of all unfinished lessons and their progress for additional control over meeting deadlines and quality standards.
