Local ICT distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC) has been awarded distribution rights to FireEye, an intelligence-led security company, for SA and the SADC region.

The appointment will see DCC distributing the entire range of FireEye offerings, including Mandiant Threat Intelligence.

Nasdaq-listed FireEye provides security-as-a-service to over 7 500 customers worldwide, including more than 50% of the Forbes Global 2000. It offers a single platform that blends security technologies, nation-state grade threat intelligence, and world-renowned Mandiant consulting.  The company says its approach eliminates the complexity and burden of cyber security for organizations struggling to prepare for, prevent, and respond to cyber attacks.

Mandiant’s Threat Intelligence portfolio offers a range of intelligence subscriptions and services that give organisations the visibility and actionable insights they need to protect their assets. Services include Intelligence Subscriptions, Intelligence Enablement, Intelligence Capability Development, Digital Threat Monitoring, and Advanced Intelligence Access.

Fred Mitchell, division manager: software solutions at DCC, says a key element of the agreement with FireEye is developing their regional channel, fostering relationships with prominent resellers and ensuring that the company’s suite of security products reach end users that need robust solutions in the time of the 4IR explosion.

Gordon Love, VP of MEA at FireEye, says his company’s channel strategy required a distributor that had local relationships and technical expertise, and DCC met both of these requirements. “We look forward to growing our channel and believe DCC will play a vital role in this.”
