IT Personality of the Year Award, now in its 33rd year, is presented by the Computer Society of SA (CSSA) in association with ITWeb, the Gordon Institute of Business Science and Gartner Africa. It recognises a person who has made an outstanding impact on the SA ICT industry over the past year and a significant contribution to the IT profession.

Visionary CIO Award, presented by the CSSA and ITWeb, recognises a personality on the other side of the IT vendor and service provider sector - an executive in the IT user environment who has demonstrated visionary leadership in applying technology to grow and transform business.

Brett Levy, joint-CEO of Blue Label Telecom, won the Personality title last year. The previous year, the accolade went to Ivan Epstein, CEO of Softline, while the 2008 winner was Mardia van der Walt Korsten, CEO of T-Systems SA.

Patrick Monyeki, at the time CIO of De Beers Group, holds the title of Visionary CIO 2010, while the then head of Internet channel at Absa, Carl Louw, won in 2009.

The winners of this year's awards will be announced at the CSSA President's Awards Breakfast, in association with ITWeb, on 10 November, at the Hilton Hotel, Sandton.
