archTIS expands global operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa

New regional executive leadership and creation of new UK corporate subsidiary help drive growth strategy for the company’s advanced information protection solutions.

Johannesburg, 06 Jul 2021

archTIS (ASX: AR9), a global provider of innovative software solutions for the secure collaboration of sensitive information, today announced the company is expanding its presence across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) with the appointment of Pete Smith as the Vice-President and General Manager of EMEA, based in London, United Kingdom, and the creation of a new UK corporate subsidiary.

In addition to the appointment of Smith as the regional VP and GM, archTIS expects to finalise the formation of a UK corporate subsidiary in the coming week. This will formalise the company’s regional presence and support existing sales operations in the EMEA region, while bolstering the company’s existing channel footprint across the region, which includes channel partners in Ireland, South Africa, Germany and the Middle East.

Global COO of archTIS, Kurt Mueffelmann, said: “We welcome Pete Smith to the executive leadership team. His role is a key part of our global sales expansion strategy, along with the creation of our new UK entity, to make it easier for key government, defence and enterprises to procure our offerings. With several recent customer wins in EMEA and new privacy regulations in the EU and South Africa driving the need for data protection and country-based compartmentalisation, we see the region as an important area of growth for our portfolio of secure collaboration solutions.”

Smith brings over 30 years’ experience in sales and management to the role, particularly with start-ups and emerging IT security brands. With a record of forging strong, long-term partnerships with customers and partners, Smith has successfully delivered dynamic growth across the EMEA region in different market verticals at technology companies including OCR, Netwrix, Intalio, Cable & Wireless and SonicWall, among others. With a keen understanding of how best to harness cutting-edge technology to its full advantage, Smith advises customers on how to anticipate changes and stay one step ahead of threats.

“I’m excited to be joining archTIS, especially at this time when the wholesale transition to remote working has accentuated organisations’ desire to enable their workforce to collaborate securely. Several recent data breaches in the news could have been prevented with help from our software,” said Smith. “I see huge growth potential in EMEA and I’m excited to be here building a team to support and drive continued sales and partner expansion in the region.”
