VoiceGenie announces record sales for 2004

Johannesburg, 15 Feb 2005

VoiceGenie Technologies, represented locally by Intelleca Voice & Mobile, has announced record sales results for the company`s fiscal year, ending 31 December 2004. This announcement follows VoiceGenie`s strong Q4 results, recording the highest sales volume and revenue in the company`s history.

Michael Renzon, MD of Intelleca Voice & Mobile, says the results underscore VoiceGenie`s leadership in the communications platforms arena.

"Customers buy VoiceGenie because they know they are future-proofing their investment," says Renzon. "Organisations that are deploying voice services today require reliable platforms that are optimised to support current and next-generation technologies. Choosing VoiceGenie ensures they are equipped with a reliable, standards-based infrastructure that will take them from speech-enabled IVR to multi-modal applications and beyond, all with a single platform."

Renzon says VoiceGenie`s international success is echoed in SA, with Intelleca experiencing record sales of the platform in the second half of 2004. With more than 90% VoiceXML market share, VoiceGenie has become the VoiceXML platform of choice in this country.

Renzon says the next year will see further consolidation of the South African market, with VoiceXML becoming the de facto standard for self-service applications and self-service automation.

VoiceGenie offers organisations and service providers high-performance, reliable and flexible platforms for powering speech-enabled customer contact solutions and next-generation networks. The platform, available in multiple configurations, has been certified as VoiceXML conformant by the VoiceXML Forum and also supports other emerging standards such as CCXML (Call Control XML), X+V (XHTML + Voice), SIP (Session Interaction Protocol) and MRCP (Media Resource Control Protocol). Since VoiceGenie supports both existing and emerging standards on the same platform, customers don`t need to replace their systems down the road or face compatibility conflicts deploying technology such as VOIP-based systems or multimodal applications.

"As a VoiceGenie partner we are looking to provide our customers with solutions that can support historical requirements as well as carry them through the next-generation of speech technology advancements. VoiceGenie is unique in its support of multiple standards and speech technology partners and its sales results clearly reflect this," says Renzon.
