Tech firm About IT has acquired Computer Solution Services (CSS), which specialises in Sage Pastel products and network support.
The deal involves About IT taking over its three offices in Tzaneen, Polokwane and Mokopane - which will be named About IT Limpopo.
About IT director Jacques van Tonder says this is the first of a series of small acquisitions from the Pretoria-based group, which encapsulates About IT Solutions, About IT Networking, About IT Online, About IT Training and About IT dot Web.
"We're definitely looking at expanding the business to all parts of the country," Van Tonder told ITWeb this morning.
He says About IT is on the verge of acquiring two other firms, one in Nelspruit and one in Johannesburg.
"We have sufficient, private funding to finance the acquisitions," he adds.
Another company director, Gerrit Olivier, says while the two main CSS shareholders are leaving, long-standing employee Elsie Grobler - part of the original management team - has been appointed as MD of About IT Limpopo.
About IT has offices in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Witbank, Nelspruit and Port Elizabeth.
"The additional branches in the Limpopo Province are going to have an immediate impact on our turnover and profit figures," notes Van Tonder.
