It's a good showing from this week's National Tender Bulletin, with opportunities for all sectors of the ICT industry to consider.
Many of these new tenders see national and provincial government forgoing some of the caution of the past few weeks and looking to bolster their technology environments. National departments represented include Defence (with the assistance of the State Information Technology Agency), Public Works and Co-operative Governance; while Gauteng's Social Development Department puts up a hand and the Western Cape sees calls from both its Departments of Health and the Premier.
The resulting selection of opportunities favours the services sectors, followed by software, both with notices in the double digits. Hardware requests follow with five and telecommunications receives interest as well, with three tenders on offer. Moving to the close of the bulletin, the results section sees four tenders being cancelled and awarded respectively.
This week's notice of interest sees the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform awarding a R35 million contract to Deloitte Consulting for the rendering of programme management services of its Electronic Deeds Registration System project (e-DRS) and other supporting projects.
