Puleng partners with leading security management vendor Exabeam to deliver advanced behaviour analytics, threat protection to customers

Johannesburg, 07 Feb 2019

Puleng Technologies, a leading South African cyber, application, user and data security practice, has partnered with Exabeam, the next-gen SIEM company.

Exabeam is a recognised leader in the security information and event management (SIEM) market, offering a comprehensive Security Management Platform (SMP), which includes advanced user and entity behaviour analytics. The solution provides enterprise users with the insights needed to understand the risk landscape, while delivering unparalleled detection, collection and remediation capabilities.

Providing innovative yet simple solutions to address its customers' needs is a priority for Puleng Technologies. The Exabeam SMP provides security operations teams with a single security management and operations platform.

Exabeam's SMP was built from the ground up on modern technology, including machine learning, behavioural analysis, open source big data, and artificial intelligence to solve the problem of security management. It provides organisations of all sizes with comprehensive, end-to-end detection, advanced analytics, and automated response capabilities.

Charlie Howe, Exabeam's EMEA VP, said: "We have seen extraordinary growth for Exabeam's SMP throughout EMEA. Organisations realise that legacy SIEMs no longer meet the needs of most organisations. While the promise of SIEM, to provide complete visibility into the threats unfolding on a network and enable automated, intelligent response to those threats, sounds as attractive as ever, SIEMs have become outdated and unable to fulfil that promise. They are built on aging, proprietary log data management technologies; over-pricing based on data volumes; and lack of intelligent, machine learning-based analytic capabilities. They also require deep technical skill to operate. This leaves the organisation to play catch-up to gain visibility, understand the risks, and remediate security threats."

Howe adds: "As we move into the South African market, we are very excited to be working with Puleng, who have a culture of customer success and strong technical competency, and will ensure the Exabeam value proposition is best positioned to the local market."

Muhammad Mayet, head of Security at Puleng, said: "As a company, we are driven to provide exceptional client service. Working with Exabeam will allow us to continue to build on our cyber security strategy and provide our customers with a rapid return on investment."

He continued: "Many of the companies that have suffered from a public breach in recent years had a large SIEM system in place at the time of breach, and we are of the opinion that modern security organisations deserve better. We see our partnership with Exabeam providing this next level of maturity."
