ITWeb is running a brief survey on the adoption and use of IT self-service and we encourage you to share your experience.

The objective of the survey, conducted in partnership with Freshworks, is to find out if and how corporate self-service portals are being implemented and used.

"While the corporate IT self-service portal was one of the most touted ITSM advancements in the past decade, in most cases, it has failed to deliver on its promise," says Sanjay Kumar, head of marketing for MEA at Freshworks.

“What we intend to uncover with this survey is the current state of self-service portals within IT service desks in the region. We'd like to know first-hand from respondents their experience with self-service portals within their organisation."

The survey asks how successful the adoption has been of self-service portals and delves into business’s future plans for IT self-service capabilities. It examine, among other things:

1. How employees currently access IT service and support capabilities.

2. What percentage of employees actively use the self-service portal to access service and support.

3. Whether the IT self-service capability has been extended to other business functions, beyond IT.

We hope you’ll be able set aside a few minutes of your time to participate in the survey, and stand a chance to win a lucky draw prize, a Takealot voucher to the value of R3 000.

The detailed results of the survey, and the prize winner, will be published on ITWeb.
