Johannesburg, 12 Apr 2005

Lynda Odendaal has been appointed Chief Executive Officer at NSS, regarded as a southern African market leader in the provisioning of integrated service assurance management solutions.

Co-founder Andr'e Odendaal will assume chairmanship of the company and will be responsible for managing the organisation`s international expansion.

The company delivers ICT solutions to such blue chip enterprises such as Telkom, Vodacom, Sasol, Sun International and the banking sector.

"My immediate focus will be continuing the growth of the company, which has enjoyed year-on-year profitability and turnover growth since opening its doors a decade ago. NSS has historically enabled organisations to meet the challenges posed by the ever-increasing business dependence on ICT infrastructure by providing a combination of process, organisation and technology," Lynda Odendaal said.

"We achieve this by offering service management best practice experts and forming alliances with industry-leading companies such as SMARTS, Managed Objects, NetIQ, Axios Systems and NetQOS which develop exceptional technology solutions."

NSS also offers a Consulting Services division that handles the internationally accepted ITIL framework and Cobit as cornerstones for establishing and verifying mature service management organisations.

Consulting Services include: Service management assessments, mentoring, customer service process improvement programmes and the definition of key roles and responsibilities in these areas.

The road ahead?

"In the immediate future we will be aligning the business to meet demographic and transformation requirements - right now we`re in talks with potential BEE partners and we hope to make an announcement on that shortly," she said. "We`re also in the process of significantly adding to our human resources to cope with growth."
