Software AG (Frankfurt TecDAX: SOW) announced today that Cognizant has won an Innovation Award for its excellence in digitally transforming and innovating an insurance company's IT infrastructure to significantly enhance its customer engagement and operational agility.
Cognizant was recognised by Eric Duffaut, Software AG Chief Customer Officer, who presented the awards at the Innovation World 2015 conference, attended by 1 000 customers, partners and industry professionals from around the world. Winners were selected from Software AG's community of partners which best showcases their use of the Digital Business Platform. It is the second straight year that Cognizant has received a 'Partner Innovation Award'.
Duffaut noted: "It was an honour to judge the 2015 Software AG Innovation Awards as it offered the opportunity to learn and recognise cutting-edge, enterprise-wide integration implementations that are bringing sustainable value to a business. Cognizant continues to demonstrate strong leadership in identifying, designing and deploying innovative implementations that help clients build digital infrastructures that integrate social, mobile, analytics, and cloud technologies.
Using Software AG's Digital Business Platform, Cognizant cost-effectively transformed the insurance company's entire supply chain to meet the needs of a modern omni-channel sales and distribution approach. Additionally, they simplified operations by trimming redundant and manual processes, while speeding up turnaround times and reducing error rates.
Harish Dwarkanhalli, Cognizant's Vice-President and Global Delivery Head of Integrated Process Management practice, accepted the 2015 Implementation Excellence Award and noted: "This award reflects Cognizant and Software AG's commitment to helping our mutual clients create new business models for digital success. The combination of our deep domain expertise and innovative technologies and solutions enabled us to help clients effectively digitise business processes, create differentiating value, and provide a superior customer experience."
