Lorna Hardie is HP Networking country manager, within both HP South Africa and English-speaking Africa, a position she has held for four-and-a-half years. Her role entails managing the overall HP ProCurve Networking business across the board, including sales and marketing, product management, account management, forecasting, planning and training. In addition, Hardie manages a strong team of professionals in South Africa and has elevated ProCurve Networking by HP to a leadership position in the networking space locally. Hardie has been with HP for well over 10 years. Prior to her role within the HP ProCurve Networking division, she developed and managed the HP Imaging and Printing Group's business for English-speaking Africa, and at a later stage, was responsible for channel management across southern Africa. She joined HP from a successful position as sales manager for the point of sales division at Mustek, which she assisted in developing, having progressively moved up in the ranks. Hardie was born in SA; however, she was educated and spent her youth in Scotland and the UK in general. She moved to South Africa 16 years ago and began her career in the IT industry almost immediately.
