James Hickman

Sales director of digital transformation, Altron.

He joined Altron Karabina in 2019 as head of sales, and was appointed acting executive in 2022. He leads the business on the back of strong results, and is charged with growth, outcomes-focused client value, transformative leadership and operational excellence.

Hickman recognises the importance of focusing on the success of the customer through delivering innovation that matters over the long-term, while ensuring the people of the business are successful in achieving their goals.

He has 22 years’ experience in various leadership roles, most recently at Qlik SA and Microsoft South Africa. In addition, he holds an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, having completed his thesis in the field of innovation.
