Andrew Fosbrook is MD of ProScan Systems. He has a long history in the barcoding and data collection industry. He co-founded Scantech, which was acquired by Datatec in 1998. Fosbrook continued as CEO of Scantec until 2002 when he became CEO of RangeGate SA and UK, which was formed by dividing the company to focus on different core competencies. During mid-1992, Fosbrook established ProScan Systems, a value-added distributor of barcoding, data collection, wireless networking and mobile technologies in the retail, fast-moving consumer goods, transport and logistics, and industrial markets. Fosbrook acquired the sole distribution rights for the range of Intermec products and was appointed preferred distributor for Datamax printers and media supplies. He expanded ProScan into a national enterprise within two years by opening branches in Port Elizabeth, Cape Town and Durban, with the head office in Boksburg. Fosbrook expanded and diversified into the manufacture of barcode labels during 1994 to bring original manufactured products to SA. During 1994 Fosbrook started to roll-out the company's RFID strategy to channel partners and end-users.
