Bytes MD killed in car accident

Martin Baak, MD of Bytes Communications Systems, was killed in a car accident on Friday 5 August.

Baak would have turned 53 on 20 August.

He joined the Altron Group 23 years ago as the financial director of STC - Standard Telephone and Cables. He was then financial director for Alcatel Business Systems and later moved across as the MD of Bytes Communications Systems.

Bytes Communications Systems said in a statement this week: "He was a long-serving and loyal colleague and a friend to all at the Altron Group and in the IT industry, especially the team at Bytes Communication Systems." 

He leaves his wife, Hilary, and two sons, Richard (22) and Stuart (18).
