ERP.com Holdings has changed its name to SecureData Holdings to reflect more accurately the group's business. The change came into effect on Monday 16 July.
ERP.com Holdings, listed on the technology sector of the JSE Securities Exchange, is a holding company which wholly owns SecureData, a specialist value-added distributor of information risk management and IT security solutions.
SecureData MD Brett Parker says the enterprise resource planning business, I-Serve, was sold last year. "When you look at it, the name no longer does justice to what we do as a business. We are focused on software and hardware services and solutions pertaining to information risk management and security."
The holding company also owns SBI, a developer and supplier of knowledge management solutions. The new entity, SecureData Holdings, will have three subsidiaries: SecureData Security, SecureData Content (formerly SBI) and SecureData Services.
"The SecureData name reflects that we are 100% focused on information risk management and security," Parker says.
