Human capital management and market advisory services company Adcorp Holdings has outsourced a number of IT areas to Dimension Data SA, under a R21 million contract.
Adcorp and DiData announced the deal this week, saying the two-year contract would cover governance and contract management; change, configuration and procurement services; architecture services; desktop management services; help-desk services; LAN administration and management; server management; network maintenance; computer hardware maintenance; and third-party management.
According to Kobus Pienaar, CIO of Adcorp, the company decided to outsource its IT function as it is not its core business.
"We needed a partner we can trust to deliver consistently," says Pienaar. "We also need someone to develop and deliver solutions as part of our future strategy."
Grant Bodley, senior GM of Dimension Data Teamsource, says: "Factors which strongly differentiated Dimension Data [in landing the contract] were the good relationships which had been forged with key players in Adcorp, and the ability of Dimension Data's team to identify and leverage skills from across the company."
