Johannesburg-based BEE company, Acutech Business Solutions, has signed a strategic partnership with UK software development company, Programme Management Group (PMG).
PMG awarded Acutech sole South African distributorship of is Hydra software for managing staff, projects, programmes and performance.
"There was much competition to gain distributorship of Hydra, but Acutech was willing to dedicate all resources to the marketing and distribution of our product," says PMG CEO Paul Bradbrook.
Acutech operations director Sandile Nzimande says the company decided to focus on Hydra because it offers a different approach to handling complex projects.
"We believe Hydra is going to enable substantial improvement of resource management in SA, as well as empower executives to collaborate better and facilitate continuous improvement strategies," he adds.
Hydra, which was released in the UK in 2000, will be showcased in SA at the Project Management Institute of South Africa conference to be held at Gallagher Estate at the end of May.
