HP unveils Web-connected printer

Hewlett-Packard has introduced an Internet-connected inkjet printer that lets people print coupons, movie tickets, maps, and other items from Web sites without having to turn on a PC, states InformationWeek.

HP Photosmart Premium with TouchSmart Web has a 4.33-inch touch-screen for navigating to sites.

The printer includes software for accessing Web content from HP partners, including USA Today, Google, Fandango, Coupons.com, DreamWorks Animation, Nickelodeon, Web Sudoku, and Weathernews.

Fuji Xerox starts YouTube channel

Fuji Xerox's printer channel has started a dedicated site on YouTube called Fuji Xerox TV, says Reseller News.

The site will include videos covering product reviews, case studies, technology, corporate initiatives and marketing campaigns.

Two videos are up on the site. The first looks at the features of the company's DocuPrint C 11 90 FS printer.

Xerox intros SME solutions

Xerox is helping small and medium businesses (SMEs) stretch their technology by introducing two affordable multifunction printers (MFP) packed with advanced features, reports eChannel Line.

The Xerox WorkCentre 3210 and WorkCentre 3220 black-and-white multifunction printers combine printing, copying, scanning and faxing into one compact device without sacrificing performance.

These MFPs print at speeds of up to 24 pages per minute (ppm) and 30ppm, respectively, offer 1200 x 1200 dpi image quality, and a paper capacity of up to 500 sheets to quickly and easily tackle office print jobs.
