Canadian-based Internet commerce application service provider, Meridex Network Corporation, introduced its wireless supply chain automation technology at Chicago InternetWorld 2000 yesterday.
The product, Mobile Meridex, allows business to be conducted remotely in a collaborative real-time environment. Mobile employees with wireless devices can communicate with other mobile employees or office-based workers.
The first generation of Mobile Meridex is designed for handheld devices that operate on Windows CE.
The second generation will be for Simbian-operated devices and is already under development.
