How to win a call centre from Grintek Telecom

Johannesburg, , 03 Jul 2000

Grintek Telecom, supported by ITWeb and AIC will be giving away a complete, 16-seat call centre at this year's Call Centres World Africa exhibition to be held from the 11th to 13th of July at the MTN Sundome.

"Call centres are rapidly becoming the mainstay of a business's relations endeavours, says Adrian Maguire, executive sales manager at Grintek Telecom. "It is our view that they add value and change the way in which businesses operate. By giving away a complete call centre, Grintek will enable one South African company to reap the benefits of their having their own customer knowledge centre."

The call centre, a Nortel Networks Meridian 1 Option 11C worth R250 000.00 is a market leader in terms of technology with an extensive user base throughout the world. In South Africa in the last four years, Grintek has installed more than 50 such systems ranging in size from 8 seats to a huge two-node 1300 seat. The 16-seat prize will feature high functionality with ACD routing and a comprehensive set of management information capable of providing real time statistics and reporting.

"The Meridian 1 offers the foundations for a fully fledged, integrated customer relationship management system. The prize offers huge scope for expansion, allowing the user to upgrade easily and cost-effectively as the business needs change."

Adds Maguire, "Grintek is offering the prize as a complete project and will supply full consultation, installation and guidance as well as eight hours of call centre agent training and eight hours of professional services to ensure an optimum implementation. We don't believe in simply dumping the equipment on the winner, but rather ensuring that they can derive the maximum benefit from the system in order to grow that their business."

Entries can be made via hard copy or at ITWeb's website on www.itweb.co.za or at Grintek Telecom's Stand (D4) at Call Centres World Africa Exhibition. The competition is open to any South African company registered in South Africa that can derive real benefits from a call centre. The winner will be adjudicated according to strict criteria in order to determine their suitability for the prize before the prize will be awarded and should the first entry drawn be found unsuitable, another will be drawn until a suitable winner is selected. The competition closes at 12h00 on 13th July 2000 and the winner announced at 14h00 on 13th July 2000.
