Accenture, the global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, has been named one of the top 10 companies to work for in SA.
This was announced at the launch of the Corporate Research Foundation`s fifth edition of the "Best Companies To Work For" book. Winning companies are judged on criteria such as company policies, staff turnover, training opportunities and career development strategies.
The top 10 list, which was topped by the South African Breweries, included the likes of Pick 'n Pay, Standard Bank, Absa and Eskom.
Accenture says it is "ecstatic" that it is among the top 10 companies, and is happy that people like to be associated with the brand and view the company as an employer of choice.
The selection of the top 10 is not restricted to companies that agree to be in the book, but embraces all the nominated companies. Companies may, however, not nominate themselves.
Other ICT companies among this year`s nominees included Ericsson SA, Ernst & Young, HP, KPMG, Microsoft SA, Rectron, SARS, Telkom and UUNet.
