BT Spain introduces new services
BT iComms, in conjunction with Nortel, will open opportunities for new service revenue by providing carrier-grade hosted voice and multimedia services to businesses throughout Spain, states CBR Online.
The new carrier hosted business from Nortel is also expected to enable BT Spain to deliver Centrex IP and SIP multimedia services to corporate customers and small to medium-sized businesses.
Nortel's VOIP infrastructure products and services deliver carrier-grade telephony, data and multimedia services over multi-service packet networks. Nortel enables BT Spain to transition to an IP network required for hosting unified communications.
IP video market to grow 15%
Epoc Messe Frankfurt believes the sale of IP video equipment, software and accessories will increase by 15% in 2009, says Middle East Events.
The exhibition organiser states there was a steep drop of 66% in projected growth compared to 2008, and this has been blamed on the economic downturn in Western countries.
IP Video Market Info founder John Honovich says the Middle East will be much stronger than the global market because it is not bogged down by legacy infrastructure that is found in the US and northern European countries.
