Alliance Insurance Company Lesotho is set to implement SDT Financial Software Solutions' Amsolf solution in October in a deal worth R1.2 million.
Using SDT Amsolf, the general and life insurance company will automate its manual operating environment, increase the speed at which it launches new products and enable more cost-effective administration.
"Our existing Microsoft Excel system can no longer cater for the improved and more complex products we offer the market," says Thabiso Madiba, GM of the Life department at Alliance Insurance. "More than that, it can also no longer manage the increasing customer volumes as we continue to expand rapidly. Worse still, it is no longer user-friendly, cost-effective or efficient and any form of customer relationship management is difficult. SDT Amsolf is being implemented to address these problems. It will provide us with a stable system, improve our financial and reporting capabilities, and give us more control over building and improving relationships with our customers."
SDT Amsolf is the ideal platform from which to launch the next growth phase of Alliance's business, after which the relationship with SDT can be expanded to upgrade to other SDT products.
As a life assurance policy administration solution, SDT Amsolf will be used by Alliance Insurance's administration department.
All users will be trained in the application and use of SDT Amsolf, and maintenance and support will be provided by SDT from its headquarters in Pretoria.
"For any company in the insurance industry, it is critical to maintain efficient operations and to smoothly and inexpensively provide customers with products and support," says Freda du Toit, director of SDT Financial Software Solutions. "Also important is being able to fulfil on the promises made to customers, building solid relationships with them and gaining their trust in the products and services offered. SDT Amsolf will empower Alliance Insurance to do just that, and to bed down its administrative processes. The solution will improve Alliance Insurance's ability to do good business."
Alliance Insurance is based in Lesotho and employs 40 people. The products and services it offers include pension fund administration, individual life products, credit life products, group schemes, group life assurance and investment products.
