Aspect Software executives Jim Foy, Gary Barnett, Ralph Breslauer receive prestigious industry awards

Technology Marketing Corporation honours industry leaders for outstanding contributions to contact centre market

Aspect Software, Inc, the world`s largest company solely focused on the contact centre, announced today that Jim Foy, chief executive officer, president and director; Gary Barnett, chief technology officer and executive vice-president of technical services; and Ralph Breslauer, executive vice-president of global sales and marketing, received Lifetime Achievement Awards at a 4 May contact centre industry awards banquet hosted by Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) in New York.

The black-tie celebration of Customer Interaction Solutions magazine`s 25th anniversary paid tribute to them as three of the brightest and best-known legends of the contact centre and teleservices industries. The trail-blazing publication, which The Wall Street Journal refers to as "the bible of the industry", has educated the market on the art and science of managing a world-class customer-service environment for more than two decades.

Nadji Tehrani, founder and chief executive officer of TMC, which publishes Customer Interaction Solutions, and Rich Tehrani, TMC president, presented the Lifetime Achievement Awards to Foy, Barnett and Breslauer as individuals who have played integral roles in the development of the contact centre technology and services industry.

The honourees

With more than three decades of experience in the contact centre industry, Jim Foy most recently led the $1 billion merger of Aspect Communications and Concerto Software in 2005 to create Aspect Software, the largest company in the world specialising in next-generation products and services for in-house and outsourced contact centres. His career includes positions as chief executive officer, president and director of Concerto Software and Davox Corporation; president of Informix Software; executive vice-president of engineering at Ardent Software; founder, president and chief executive officer of Constellation Software; and director of research and development at Prime Computer.

With a distinguished history as a driving force in communications technology, Gary Barnett most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Aspect Communications, where as an original founding engineer, he played a key role in the development of the company`s first automatic call distributor. He was also a founding engineer of Octel Communications, where he was one of the developers of the company`s first voice-messaging system, and a founder of Prospect Software, a company that pioneered computer-telephony integration.

Prior to leading the global sales force of Aspect Software and heading up the strategic development and execution of the company`s aggressive product, branding and marketing efforts, Ralph Breslauer was the executive vice-president of sales and marketing for Concerto Software. Throughout his career in enterprise software, he has also served as senior vice-president of worldwide field operations for eRoom Technology, vice-president of marketing and business development for Informix Software`s TransAct Business Group, vice-president of marketing for databases and tools at Ardent Software and executive vice-president at System Builder Corporation.
