Australia tops SOA market
The service-oriented architecture (SOA) market in Asia (excluding Japan) is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 40% right through to 2010, according to new research, says CIO.
Springboard Research estimates the region`s SOA market amounts to US$810 million, with the market set to top US$2.2 billion by 2010.
Australia remains the largest SOA market in the region at US$205 million.
SOA adoption is key
At SOA World 2007 West, in San Francisco, Software AG deputy CTO Miko Matsumura challenged an SOA World audience to make SOA core to their enterprise operations over the coming year, according to SOA World Magazine.
Citing the transformational success of earlier adopters, Matsumura argued that current laggards risked ceding an insurmountable advantage to their competitors if they did not accelerate their adoption of SOA.
He also urged attendees to look beyond today`s often artificial litmus tests for architectural purity in order to embrace a more pragmatic and evolutionary approach to SOA adoption.
Telelogic upgrades System Architect
Telelogic`s latest version of Telelogic System Architect offers new features and capabilities that help organisations more fully deploy, visualise, collaborate on, and scale their enterprise architecture and business process analysis initiatives, according to Business Wire.
New enterprise planning capabilities enable organisations to use their architecture to better understand the impact, resources and risks associated with evolving from their current environment to a future state.
Also available is Telelogic System Architect/Process Integrator, a live integration between System Architect`s enterprise architecture solution and Microsoft Visio drawing and diagramming software.
