Business Connexion strategy executive Willem van Rensburg says that the company will operate its value-added network services (VANS) from 1 November.
His comments come after BCX announced last week that it had been given the go-ahead by the Competition Commission to acquire Bidvest Network Solutions (Bidnet), with effect from 1 November.
Van Rensburg, who is also heading up the new entity, says that in addition to its own client base, BCX will continue to service the more that 50-strong client base that belonged to Bidnet.
"We are now able to offer full VoIP, VPN, Internet services as well as security services to our clients. We are now also in a position to manage our clients` networks, something that they depended on other companies to do in the past," he says.
He is reluctant to divulge any projections in terms of the acquisition`s expected contribution to the company`s earnings, but says that it will be significant.
As Bidnet was established on a Multi Protocol Layer Switching (MPLS) network, BCX will not be victim to any legacy issues and is confident that it will be able to provide impressive quality of service, says Van Rensburg.
