With another hard-fought Formula One season about to get under way, specialist networking products distributor Duxbury Networking has again teamed up with Netgear, the networking solutions company, to stage an online Grand Prix predictions competition.
The competition, which is easy to play and open to everyone, will be run on a race-by-race basis and prizes will be awarded to eight entrants who come closest to the correct result at each race.
In addition to this year's featured prizes, which are four Lenovo 3000 N200 notebook computers, there is also a Samsung 2232GW monitor and Samsung SCX-4500 printer combination for the winner of each of the 18 events on this year's F1 calendar.
Other valuable prizes and memorabilia from the RedBull Racing F1 team are up for grabs.
Each round of the competition closes at 24h00 on the Friday prior to a GP. All eight winners will be announced the following Monday and their names will be published on the Duxbury Networking GP Predictions Competition Web site (www.duxbury.co.za/formulaone).
The Web site is also the place to go to view the F1 calendar, read the competition rules, register as a player - and then predict the outcome of each GP.
"We've made the competition easy to enter and, for registered players whose F1 knowledge is sketchy, regular overviews of the season are sent via e-mail to help them make up their minds," says Duxbury Networking CEO Graham Duxbury.
At the end of the year a 'grand prize' will also be presented to an overall winner, who will have the best accumulated points score for the season.
"There's a lot to play for and there are even more incentives if you introduce your friends to the competition," adds Duxbury.
