CA has unveiled three software-as-a-service (SaaS) offerings across its enterprise IT management and portfolios, in a move to help customers cut costs and maximise the business value of their software implementations.

The new services are Clarity PPM on Demand, which the company says has already seen significant customer adoption since its introduction in April this year; as well as GRC Manager On Demand and CA Instant Recovery On Demand.

The company says it plans to continue expanding its roster of SaaS solutions, based on customer demand.

"CA On Demand solutions will allow our customers to `buy once and buy best`," said Jules Ehrlich, senior VP and GM of CA`s On Demand Business Unit, in Las Vegas.

He says the new solutions spare customers from large up-front technology investments and on-premises software deployment time. "It also lowers costs, frees up IT resources for other priorities, quickens service deployment and gains flexibility."

SaaS providers in the SME sector will benefit from the new offerings, he says. According to him, neither the customer nor the needs to invest a lot of capital up-front. They can achieve the same results as a mirrored site at a fraction of the cost. "This minimises cost and provides for faster and greater return on investment."
