CareerWeb supports SharePoint Saturday initiative in Cape Town

"SharePoint Saturday is an initiative we got involved with last year and feel it is a great event that allows the SharePoint and SQL communities to share ideas, suggestions, etc," comments Ernie Hipner, business development director at CareerWeb. "We have top SharePoint and SQL job opportunities on the CareerWeb site, so we felt it would be ideal to get involved and provide these specialists with a one-stop shop, where they can see which companies are hiring these types of skills, what the salary ranges are, as well as how active the job market is in this space," adds Hipner.

Community Saturday would like to welcome and thank bSOLVe as the official Diamond Sponsor for the event.

"Community Saturday is free to anyone who wants to attend. Registration is set at the first 350 - so please remember to register before 15 August 2013 to avoid missing out. This year, we will combine SQL Saturday with SharePoint Saturday. The reason behind this is that both the SQL and SharePoint communities are in a very similar space at the moment, and we believe the synergy for delegates to mingle and share information between the two products are great," adds the team from Community Saturday.

The event will run from 8:30am to 4pm at Sanlam Head Office, in Bellville, on 7 September 2013.
Sessions will be broken up into types, rather than tracks, based on the TechEd approach to the speaker sessions. This will allow for the most popular sessions to be in the larger rooms, in addition to the wide range of topics that will be available for all the attendees. There will, however, still be session rooms: currently, there are five rooms allocated for SharePoint and four rooms for SQL. Based on these numbers, there will be a maximum of 36 sessions in total.

Each track will consist of four presentations lasting approximately 45 to 60 minutes each, and ranging from introductory, 100-level content, to highly technical, 400-level "expert" sessions. Speakers will represent a broad cross-section of the community, and offer a variety of different perspectives and points of view.

An early morning muffin and light lunch will be provided, and there will be numerous giveaways throughout the day. There will also be a get-together after the event, at Eastwoods in Bellville, where speakers and attendees can gather over a few drinks and informal chat.

We pride ourselves in Cape Town as being able to provide the best speakers, best sessions and best SWAG for the event.
