Official South African distributor, Duxbury Networking has introduced the latest version of Clearswift`s content filtering solution, MAILsweeper Business Suite II, part of the MIMEsweeper family of products, to the local marketplace.
Comprising MAILsweeper for SMTP 4.3 and REMOTEmanager 1.4, the new version also offers new enhancements such as the company`s anti-spam solution that includes Anti-spam Filter 1.6 and Personal Message Manager (PMM) as well as the Web-based Report Center.
Clearswift`s anti-spam solution, for example, allows organisations to build their own anti-spam profile. Essentially, it combines three technologies to create a "knowledge engine" - learning as it protects the organisation.
Also, any incoming mails that match the latest spam profiles immediately trigger the anti-spam policy, effectively blocking unsolicited mail on sight. For example, the new anti-spam filter uses a machine-learning approach, therefore automatically creating the best rule for spam detection.
"Clearswift`s new MAILsweeper Business Suite II not only addresses immediate content protection and filtering needs but also offers a host of new features that allow companies to adequately plan for and establish systems that will protect their intellectual property against any future onslaughts," comments Graham Vorster, chief technology officer of Duxbury Networking.
Looking at PMM, the technology enables companies to manage their own spam via individual quarantine areas - if a message adheres to predefined criteria it is subsequently classified as spam.
Lastly, the new Web-based Report Center, part of REMOTEmanager 1.4, provides a list of available reports which users can customise according content, user counts and data periods.
