Clickability, Journal sign contract
Clickability has signed a multi-year agreement with Journal Communications to develop, host and support the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel parent's online enterprises, states Editor & Publisher.
Clickability recently launched its On Demand Web Content Management Platform, an end-to-end content management solution which the company said combines implementation, software, support and innovation as a service to enable non-technical users to create, manage, publish, deliver, measure and adapt Web sites.
"Our deal with Journal Communications further highlights Clickability's position as the dominant leader in enterprise Web content management for media companies," Clickability CEO John Girard said in a statement.
Alterian wants Mediasurface
Alterian, a provider of integrated marketing, intends to acquire Web content management vendor Mediasurface, reports CMS Wire.
According to Alterian, the acquisition of Mediasurface will enable the company to create a new integrated marketing platform that supports Web sites of all kinds with its analytics functionality.
Mediasurface says all current customers will be unaffected by this acquisition. The acquisition is expected to be completed in late June.
Utilizer is coming
Ulitzer.com, which will be launched this year, with 5 500 authors and more than 550 000 original articles, is looking for enterprise software architects, programmers and Web app developers, says Sys-Con.
The site will offer original content in more than 2 000 topics ranging from AJAX to Zebra.
Ulitzer claims that by 2010, three out of 10 books on any subject will be published at Ulitzer.com, and Time Magazine, The New York Times, Scientific American and the rest of today's magazines and journals will be replaced by Ulitzer in the next five years.
