Corel Corporation today launched a new licensing programme, designed to simplify the purchasing decisions for customers and provide greater flexibility in addressing their needs.
"As part of our ongoing dedication to becoming an organisation that is increasingly customer-focused, we have introduced this new licensing program as a direct result of customer feedback," says Beverley Rogers, Country Manager for Corel Corporation. "The programme will cover all products in the Corel portfolio and we believe that the significant changes that it brings to the way we do business will be very beneficial to our customers. Not only will it provide customers with reduced administration costs it will also give them the additional opportunity to take advantage of Corel`s software and services. Overall, providing our customers with a more flexible way of working."
The company`s new licensing programme will enable customers to choose from two easy-to-understand options when considering purchasing solutions and services from Corel.
The Corel Transactional Licence (CTL) option entitles customers to purchase a broad range of products and services from Corel through individual transactions without a volume commitment. The Corel Contractual Licence (CCL) option is reserved for customers who require a tailor-made volume license solution in combination with service offerings. These programmes are designed for any size organisation in the corporate, government and academic segments.
Customers who procure products or services from Corel under either option are also eligible to purchase a term of `maintenance` when they make their licence purchase, giving them access to product upgrades and entitlements such as multilingual licensing support during the maintenance term.
Under this new programme, the company will also provide specialised licensing options for academic institutions, specifically tailored to fully service the needs of this key customer group.
The new licencing terms will apply to all of the company`s software products and services, including those recently acquired from Micrografx, Inc. and SoftQuad Software Ltd., in all markets served by Corel around the globe. These products include CorelDRAW, WordPerfect, Corel Ventura, XMetaL, Corel DESIGNER, as well as Corel`s XML, process management and Six Sigma solutions.
