CSR, Intel collaborate
CSR and Intel are jointly developing a Bluetooth and WiFi combination solution for the PC market, as part of CSR's ongoing selective partnership strategy, writes Market Watch.
This will support the latest Bluetooth standards to enable new usages and improve the performance of the next generation of laptops, netbooks and other mobile devices.
The Bluetooth and WiFi combination solution is being designed to enable users to synchronise content such as music, photos and contact information with their PCs in a fraction of the time it takes for the same operation today.
Cisco targets small business
Cisco has unveiled a storage offering aimed at small businesses with a hundred employees or less, reports Small Business Computing.
The offering is part of the networking giant's Smart Storage family of desktop network storage systems that include integrated applications.
Beyond storage and management, the NSS 300 Series includes software to, for example, help a small business set up a Web server and design its own Web site.
Canon demonstrates document solutions
Canon will showcase the full line-up of its imageFormula digital document scanners and check transports at the Government Finance Officers Association annual conference, says Market Watch.
Imaging solutions on display at the show will include the CR-190i Check Transport, which the company says provides a high-performance, reliable payment processing platform.
Canon will also have a solution software vendor, ImageSource, on display in its booth. ImageSource will be showing ILinx Capture, its document distribution solution, with the Canon ScanFront 220P Network Scanner.
