Data warehousing authority Lawrence Corr will return to SA soon to present a master class series on data warehousing design and development.
Corr will offer the courses alongside information integration specialist Joe Caserta, who collaborated with Ralph Kimball to produce The Data Warehouse ETL Toolkit.
Alicornio Africa, formerly Sagent Southern Africa, will host the seminar. It aims to take local practitioners "beyond the boundaries of information integration", says Alicornio Africa MD Susan Andre.
"We have extended the course to incorporate two key modules, namely Extended Dimensional Analysis and Design and ETL Design."
Among other issues, Corr will examine extended dimensional analysis and how to close the gap between business analytical requirements and traditional dimensional modelling. Caserta`s module will focus on ETL design.
The seminar will take place from 15 to 17 November at the Unisys Auditorium in Sunninghill.
