Datacraft, TBM Consulting partner

TBM Consulting Group has become an authorised implementation partner and reseller of the Lean Manufacturing Kanban Solution from Datacraft Solutions, which stakes a claim as the creator of the -as-a- digital Kanban system, says SDCExec.

TBM Consulting Group, a Lean Sigma consulting company, was selected as Datacraft's authorised implementation partner because of its experience and results in helping companies leverage Lean processes throughout the value chain.

"We are pleased to join ranks with TBM, a long-time thoughtleader and implementation expert in the Lean manufacturing community," says Datacraft CEO and chairman Stephen Parker.

Globalfoundries, Qualcomm team up

From its inception Globalfoundries - the semiconductor foundry formed from the spin-off of AMD's manufacturing operations - has openly stated that it views the system on chip (SOC) market as the key to its future success, writes Hexus.

Globalfoundries has entered into a "non-binding memorandum of understanding" with the world's biggest fables semiconductor company and major SOC player Qualcomm, to collaborate on 45nm and 28nm low power technologies, with the further intention of collaborating on future advanced process nodes.

"As our customers increasingly demand more performance, lower power, functionality and portability in their mobile experiences, the need for a strong manufacturing and technology foundation is more important than ever before," said Jim Clifford, SVP and GM of operations at Qualcomm CDMA Technologies.

Gionee selects IDT PureTouch

Integrated Device Technology (IDT), a provider of mixed signal semiconductor solutions, announced that China handset provider Gionee Communication selected IDT's PureTouch capacitive touch controller, for use in Gionee's slider-style mobile phone, says TMCnet.

Gionee selected the IDT touch solution because of its ultra-low power consumption, analogue architecture and easy customisation.

"IDT PureTouch capacitive sensing technology allows us to provide intuitive interface solutions for next-generation mobile devices with best-in-class usability and a stylish design, says Alvin Wong, GM of the IDT Advanced User Interface group.
