Dell pushes MS Office 365 to SMEs

cloud-based Microsoft Office 365 into its hardware devices, reports Channelnomics.

This is a move designed to leverage voracious SME cloud adoption and enable both companies to break ground with a new set of small business customers.

Microsoft Office 365 with Dell gives SME customers access to the full spectrum of productivity solutions - Outlook, Exchange, Office Web Apps, SharePoint, Lync and more - from most Dell devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktops.

According to ChannelBiz, the service will include Office services such as Lync and Exchange, with Dell claiming the subscription model will provide better value.

“Dell is committed to helping small- and medium-business customers realise the full power of the cloud,” says Cindy Grogan, executive director of software marketing, Dell.

CBR Software Content Management quotes Grogan as saying: “The latest addition in Dell's growing list of SMB cloud solutions, Microsoft Office 365 with Dell saves customers valuable time and resources by providing access to our trusted 24x7x365 customer support and certified technicians with one common billing platform.”

Microsoft Office 365 with Dell will allow customers to use the cloud to streamline IT costs, helping reduce unpredictable capital expenses for reliable operational expenses, the company said.
