The purpose of Saphila is to give current and prospective SAP users a forum to meet and discuss their experiences with the SAP product suite, says Deloitte director and SAP leader at Deloitte, Frank Van Niekerk.
As SAP's oldest partner in SA, Deloitte has been an active participant at Saphila since its inception. This year, Deloitte is a Diamond sponsor of the event and a leadership team from Deloitte will be attending the conference.
"SAP is, has been and remains a very important part of our business," says Van Niekerk. "SAP is a significant part of our business and we continue to grow the SAP side of our business."
"We believe that Saphila is an important event in the annual SAP calendar, giving us, our current clients and our prospective clients an opportunity to get together to discuss the SAP product suite," says Van Niekerk. According to him, getting involved at Saphila is about demonstrating Deloitte's passion for the industry, and he asserts that this passion will be very evident at the event.
"Saphila is about the SAP user, we are keen to engage with them on how they would like to see the industry develop. The conference is about building networks and learning lessons from others in the industry," he says.
Because of Deloitte's extensive involvement with SAP, Van Niekerk feels that it just makes sense for it Deloitte to promote the SAP service and in doing so to promote its own offering. "SAP tech services are a major part of our business," he says.
