Duxbury Networking is to market its range of Netgear wired and wireless networking products through the established Digital Planet online Web site at www.digitalplanet.co.za.
Digital Planet, which is targeted at small to medium businesses and home users, is an eBucks partner.
"Duxbury, the sole distributor of Netgear products in SA, will join the Digital Planet family on 1 February 2005," advises Duxbury marketing manager, Louise Taute.
"Through Digital Planet`s Web site, Duxbury will offer the range of Netgear branded networking products. They are technologically advanced to meet users` ease-of-use, quality, reliability, performance and affordability requirements," she says.
Visitors to Digital Planet can also enter Duxbury`s new Formula One 2005 competition and stand in line to win a number of prizes if they correctly forecast the results of the races.
Taute says Duxbury will post a number of "special offers" on the Digital Planet Web site from time to time. The first is associated with the new wireless Netgear ADSL firewall router designed to provide continuous, unfettered access to network resources and the Internet.
"Buy one and receive a free 108Mbps network card to connect a laptop or desktop computer to a wireless network from 1 February to 31 March 2005," she says.
"The ADSL Router with 4-port 10/100Mbps switch is effectively five products in one," adds Taute. "It combines an ADSL modem, router, 10/100 LAN switch, 108Mbps access point and SPI Double Firewall.
"It allows users to share broadband access among all networked computers wirelessly - or with wires using Ethernet cables," she notes.
At the heart of Digital Planet is the commercial hub through which members can search for products, either by brand or by category. There is a detailed online catalogue containing relevant technical data, photographs and independent user reviews.
"Duxbury will support this with a strong commitment to entry-level technical support via telephone or e-mail," says Taute. "In addition, a comprehensive network configuration guide for home or business applications can be accessed on the Web site www.duxbury.co.za/lifestyle.
