The JSE's first day of trading in the new year saw three IT directors tell shareholders that they had sold shares collectively worth over R1 million.

Mike Hennessy, a non-executive director at Mustek, which assembles, markets and distributes Mecer PC-based products and services, sold 50 000 shares collectively worth R456 500.

His shares were sold in two batches, one lot of 25 000 shares at R9.10 and the balance at R9.16 and were sold before trade ended last year.

Marc Scheepbouwer, a director of EOH subsidiary Intellient, sold 50 000 shares for R335 000. Scheepbouwer initially paid R1.74 per share, but sold the lot for R6.70 a share, netting R248 000 in the process.

His transaction took place on 29 December and was an exercise and sale of shares transaction. His share option expires in August 2009.

Craig Nowitz, a director at Pinnacle Micro, sold a total of 160 038 Pinnacle Technology Holdings shares for a total value of R503 371.60.

Nowitz sold his shares in four tranches for between R3.10 and R3.20 each. The sales took place on the last three days of share trade on the JSE.
