Dirty hinders
Seventy-one percent of retailers already use or have plans to use business intelligence (BI), according to a study of 200 retailers, by research consultancy Aberdeen Group, reports Computer World.
Almost half say dirty data was or is a primary obstacle to implementing BI, and 44% have faced challenges dealing with data that was scattered throughout their organisations.
Also tough is getting the data itself. Thirty-six percent of respondents say they don`t now or didn`t have enough customer-specific information to generate valid results.
Merge creates BI leader
Trilogia Solutions has joined forces with Keyrus Canada to become the BI leader in the Canadian market, according to News Wire.
With this new acquisition, which follows two 2006 external growth operations in Canada, the Keyrus Group consolidates its management structure and strengthens its Montreal presence in the burgeoning BI and customer relationship management segments.
"With a strong capacity for organic growth and substantial financial resources, our Canadian initiative is expanding to incorporate specialised firms like Trilogia within our business vision," said Keyrus Canada`s president and COO Mario Leblanc.
