Drive Control Corporation (DCC) has expanded its storage solutions offering to the channel and has been appointed a distributor for Vixel`s Fibre Channel interconnect products.
"This appointment enables DCC to offer our Systems Integrators, resellers and OEM customers, the ability to build scalable Fibre Channel storage solutions," says Raul Del Fabbro, manager of DCC`s Storage Systems Division.
"Storage interconnect solutions must be able to expand to meet the needs of the organisation, grow simply, and grow without an impact on operations or past investments," says Del Fabbro.
"Vixel`s products meet these criteria from entry level configurations (with its low cost-per port unmanaged hub), to mid-range configurations (with its managed hub), to high-end fabric switching. These solutions create a backbone capable of evolving to meet future demands through hot-pluggable onsite configuration."
Del Fabbro explains that IT systems grow beyond current and planned capacity. The problems connected with rapid and constant growth, and the resulting costs, are a major headache for data managers.
"The optimal information-centric infrastructures provide the ability to add incremental capacity as required. Without this, IT managers must use larger staffs to troubleshoot growth-related problems.
