Yolanda van Aswegen has been appointed a business development manager at Duxbury Networking. She will be responsible for the Clearswift range of software products for managing and securing electronic communications.
This follows the recent appointment of Duxbury as a Clearswift Premier Partner in SA.
According to MD Graham Duxbury, Van Aswegen`s promotion will increase Duxbury`s focus on the Clearswift product at a time when there is growing emphasis on security in the ICT industry.
"We are please to announce this appointment which we have made in a bid to further enhance our relationships with the channel and, in particular, our dealers, resellers and VAR partners," says Duxbury.
He says that part of Van Aswegen`s responsibilities will be the establishment of a Clearswift end-user forum, training programmes for technical and sales personnel in the channel, and the flow of product- and technology-related information throughout the channel.
"It represents a new dawn for Clearswift in SA," adds Duxbury. "We have a new sales model that is unfettered by past restrictions and contractual constraints."*
Clearswift`s products currently hold a 23% share of the global content filtering market. They include Clearswift MIMEsweeper, an offering that assists users to implement e-mail and Web communications e-policies, and Clearswift ENTERPRISEsuite, which delivers the e-policy infrastructure and enforcement technology for complex organisations to deploy comprehensive management and security solutions.
