Duxbury Networking has launched a new `high-end` range of Netgear networking products targeted at broad-based, large-scale business applications.
Dubbed the ProSafe range, it comprises a comprehensive range of offerings designed for use at all levels of the infrastructure.
It includes unmanaged Fast Ethernet switches for use at the edge of the network, smart switches offering light management capabilities, and high-performance Layer 3 Gigabit switches for use at the network core.
The ProSafe range also consists of network access points, wireless VPN Firewall routers, antennas and adapters designed to provide wireless connectivity to laptop, desktop and handheld users while integrating wireless and Ethernet technologies for high-speed mobile access to e-mail, the Internet and network resources.
In addition, a management software suite is available under the ProSafe banner - the Network Management System NMS100 - to assist wired and wireless network users with configuration and network monitoring.
The ProSafe VPN Client software is designed to extend the LAN infrastructure to include telecommuters and a mobile workforce.
According to Louise Taute, Duxbury marketing manager, the ProSafe range offers robust features for configuring, managing and troubleshooting larger and more demanding networks.
"It is also geared towards assisting organisations to enable new-generation technologies and applications, such as voice over Internet Protocol and power over Ethernet," she says.
"These are high-performance products that provide reliable, cost-effective solutions to deliver a compelling value proposition for any network environment," she adds.
